Fischers' on the Green, formerly "Fischers' White House," has provided residents of the Chippewa Valley with fine dining experiences since 1941.
Fischers' on the Green, owned by David and Teresa Fischer, is located in the beautiful setting of the Hillcrest Country Club and is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Fischers' offers a classic Midwestern and Mediterranean-inspired menu - similar to that of the old White House – in an attractive contemporary setting. Walls of windows frame the neat green undulations of the fairway. On nice days before dusk, the dining rooms glow with a cheery warmth.
Decoration is understated "English Manor" in burgundies, golds and greens, with oak–paneled walls. Hunting prints feature hounds, vigorous men and well–behaved vegetation. The rooms are elegant yet comfortable: good places to focus on friends and food.
Meals at Fischers' start with popovers, and these may mesmerize you. The outside is shatteringly crisp; inside is a steaming hollow of soft, eggy richness. Add a sliver of the fresh sweet butter and you will have a little masterpiece.
Join us after dinner for a glass of wine or a cognac – largest wine list in the Chippewa Valley – in our exquisite lounge and listen to live music Wednesday through Saturday. Banquet facilities and catering are also available.
Teresa and David Fischer describe their daily work to create fine dining experiences as the "effort to achieve excellence in all areas" – ambiance, service, food and drink.
